Cortemilia

Projekt: Cortemilia ist eine Gemeinde mit 2300 Einwohnern in der italienischen Region Piemont, etwa 100 km südlich von Turin. Das Hauptziel des „Ökomuseums der Terrassenkultur und der Wein-reben“ in Cortemilia ist die Erhaltung und Aufwertung der hiesigen terrassierten Landschaft. Dazu gehört auch die Vermittlung des traditionellen Wissens über die Terrassenkulturen. Die Arbeit, die durch Workcamps geleistet wird, ist für die Instandhaltung und Pflege der Terrassen von großer Wichtigkeit. Auch in diesem Jahr werden die Freiwilligen die Steinwände der Terrassen um das Bauernhaus in Monteoliveto und zwischen dem historischen Stadtzentrum von Cortemilia und benachbarten Dörfern restaurieren.

Project: Cortemilia is a municipality with 2300 inhabitants in the Italian region of Piedmont, about 100 km south of Turin. The main objective of the „Eco-museum of Terrace Culture and Vines“ in Cortemilia is to preserve and enhance the terraced landscape. This also includes the teaching of traditional knowledge about terraced cultures. The work carried out during the work camps is of great importance for the maintenance and care of the terraces. Also this year, the volunteers will restore the stone walls of the terraces around the farmhouse in Monteoliveto and between the historic centre of Cortemilia and neighbouring villages.
