Mechow I

Freiwillige: 4 D / 6 Int.

Projekt: In dem Landschaftsschutzgebiet „Feldberger Seenlandschaft“ liegt das ehemalige Klosterdorf Mechow (ca. 80 km von Berlin entfernt). Dort betreibt ein kleiner Verein den „Hof Landliebe“. Mithilfe von Freiwilligen, Freunden und Nachbarn wurden bereits Teile des Hofs renoviert und ausgebaut. Der Verein setzt sich für eine nachhaltige Lebensweise ein und stellt Besuchern, Familien sowie Alleinerziehenden mit geringen Einkommen Ferienwohnungen zur Verfügung, um ihnen einen Erholungsort zu bieten. Ein großes Ziel ist zudem, wieder stärker Kunst und Kultur in die Region zu bringen. Dazu soll eine alte Theaterscheune renoviert werden. Zudem ist der Aufbau eines Hofcafés geplant.

Arbeit: Schreinerarbeiten, Dämmarbeiten, Maurerarbeiten, Malerarbeiten, Innenausbau, Landschaftsarbeiten.

In diesem Camp ist die Mitarbeit von Geflüchteten geplant.

Project: In the former monastery village Mechow (about 80 km from Berlin), located within the conservation area „Feldberger Seenlandschaft“, a small association runs the „Hof Landliebe“.Parts of the farm were renovated and expanded with the help of volunteers, friends and neighbors. The association promotes a sustainable lifestyle as well as sustainable construction methods and grows vegetables with the village community. Furthermore, “Hof Landliebe” offers affordable holiday homes to visitors, families and single parents with low income. One important aim is to promote art and culture (theater, dance and music) in the region as well as creating a place of learning for adults and children. To achieve this, an old “theater barn” is to be renovated. Furthermore, the construction of a “farm cafe” is planned. In 2017, the volunteers of the Bauorden support this project for the first time.

Work: carpenter works, insulation work, brickwork, painting works, interior construction, landscaping.

Refugees will work with the volunteers in this Workcamp.
