PROJECT: The Kopeshti Shpresa (Hope) kindergarten in Dushk has been in existence since 2002 and is run by the Albanian association “Varka” and Albanian staff on site. The kindergarten is a contact point for children from poor families who otherwise could not afford to attend kindergarten and for children with special difficulties. In the meantime, the kindergarten in Dushk has become very popular, which is why the building quickly became much too small. In recent years IBO volunteers have helped to renovate the ground floor and to extend the building. This year a garden wall will be demolished and rebuilt, window frames, stairs and handrails will be painted and preparations for a heating system will be made.
WORK: Bricklaying, plastering, painting, gardening and landscaping, general renovation work.
