PROJECT: “De Heerlijheid van Heule” is an open ecological farm that houses children with various problems, such as difficult family situations and drug problems. Local youth and volunteers are also welcome to support the work of the farm. In addition to the youth apartments, the farm also has rooms for afternoon care, a public kitchen, a bakery, a farm shop and a wood workshop. During the construction camp, an old listed coffee factory will be renovated, as will general farm work. New dormitories for families and a seminar room are to be built here. The volunteers will help with roof insulation, stair construction and renovation of the ground floor rooms. Heule is located in the southwest of Belgium, about 15 km from the French border.
WORK: general renovation and conversion work, carpentry, painting, electrical and cable laying.
