PROJECT: Since 1955, the “Bundesverband Selbsthilfe Körperbehinderter e.V.” (“Federal Association of Self-Help of Physically Disabled Persons”) has represented the interests of humans with handicap and is thereby one of the oldest self-help organizations of this kind in Germany. The goal ist to enable a self-determined life without barriers to people with body handicap. In Krautheim the non-profit federation maintains the Eduard-Knoll living center, workshops, and barrier-free dwellings. The volunteers of the building order have already been helping in Krautheim for several years. In 2019, the conversion of an apartment into an outpatient assisted living facility and various works on the site are planned.
WORK: Painting and wallpapering, landscape conservation.
