PROJECT: Subate is a small town of about 1,000 inhabitants, near the border with Lithuania. In cooperation with the German association “LOT e.V.”, the volunteers will continue to work on the restoration of about 200 gravestones at the Jewish cemetery. This year the back half of the cemetery will be completed. Participants will clear the cemetery of excess vegetation, search for hidden gravestones, straighten the fallen ones and restore them if necessary.
