PROJECT: The association Bonanza is a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 in Svitavy, a small town with 17 000 inhabitants located 70 km north of Brno. Its activities are focused on helping disadvantaged children and socially vulnerable families. Bonanza operates three youth meeting centres in and close to Svitavy and offers two types of social service – a low threshold facility for children and a youth social activation programme for families. In Vendolí, a village 5 km away from Svitavy, Bonanza runs a farm with horses and offers free time activities from children and youngsters aged 8-26 from socially weak enviroment or having various social difficulties (teaching social skills to children by the interaction with horses). During the year, several sports and cultural activities for children and families as well as summer camps took place there. Since 2016 Bauorden helps with renovation works on the farm and the property. During the work camp, the children’s lounge will be renovated, an outdoor stall stable for horses will be built, a playground will be extended and small renovation works on the site will be carried out.
WORK: Carpenter works, bricklaying, painting works, renovation works.
